59 Benching Stations Replaced. 48 Hours. Zero Downtime.
CIM Group needed a complete office reconfiguration without pausing operations for a single hour. ASI delivered it over a holiday weekend and finished ahead of schedule.

The Challenge
CIM Group had trialed open plan, bench-style seating for one of its divisions at its 300-person Los Angeles headquarters. The goal was to foster collaboration. The reality was different. Employees whose roles required sustained focus and phone-based communication found the environment counterproductive. The decision was made to convert to cubicles.
The challenge was one that every operations and facilities leader in a high-output corporate environment understands: the division could not stop working. Not for a day. Not for an afternoon. Shutting down operations to complete the installation would have produced direct, measurable revenue loss.
The solution required tearing down 59 benching stations, removing all cabling and electrical connections, and installing 64 new cubicles, fully wired and operational, within a window small enough to cause zero business disruption.
That window was a holiday weekend.
The ASI Approach
CIM had worked with ASI for more than five years across multiple furniture, design, and reconfiguration projects. When the cubicle conversion came up, there was no competitive process. There was a phone call.
ASI handled the complete scope of the project from initial space planning through final installation. Over the course of two days, the team disconnected all computers, removed existing cabling, cleared the room, installed new power conduits, erected all cubicle walls and desks, and connected every electrical element.
ASI also carried out all space planning in advance and sourced and supplied the new furniture, including lower partition walls that would preserve the collaborative atmosphere CIM valued while giving each employee clearly defined, private workspace.
The project was not simply completed on time. It was completed several hours ahead of schedule.
The Outcome
CIM's employees returned from the holiday weekend to a fully transformed office. Operations resumed without interruption. No workday was lost. No revenue was impacted.
